Habitat Headlines

San Juan Capistrano and Habitat OC are creating an innovative neighborhood with military personnel and families in mind.

Habitat for Heroes and Foundations for Families™ is the first of its kind for Habitat.

Urged to apply are currently serving personnel, veterans, disabled veterans, and surviving families of veterans who gave their lives in service.

Disabled veterans can purchase homes built to their physical needs. The development is convenient to VA medical services.

Dedication of First Homes

The city has welcomed nine very happy families to their new homes on Calle Rolando. Three of the families are, or have served in the Marines.

Groundbreaking Results

When the 27 homes are complete, this neighborhood will include homeowners of various backgrounds. Together these families will thrive and encourage each other.

Building Continues

Construction is underway on the remaining 18 homes.

Katia, wife of SSgt. Joe Morales, said it best, "It would always make me so excited when I would see all the volunteers working so hard. This home is an answer to all my prayers and I am so thankful to God, the donors and all of the volunteers."
