Habitat OC is Celebrating the Groundbreaking for Two New Workforce Homes

These affordable homes will help local families attain the American dream of homeownership in Santa Ana; Mayor Vicente Sarmiento will attend along with local leaders.

SANTA ANA, CA – On Friday, August 26, 2022, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County (HFHOC) will celebrate the groundbreaking for two new affordable homes to be built in Santa Ana. This shovel groundbreaking will set the course for the two homesites to become two future houses for hard-working Orange County families who qualify for the HFHOC program. With the support of donors and volunteers, HFHOC has been helping families realize the dream of homeownership and intergenerational wealth for over three decades in Southern California. Its mission remains to build quality, affordable homes for workers in Orange County, California. This project will allow families to create more stable lives and provide a better education for their children to succeed.

What: The Friday Groundbreaking will celebrate–with local leaders, community members, and volunteers–the organization’s 31st and 32nd houses built in partnership with the City of Santa Ana. Click here to view the renderings.
