Neighborhood ReVitalization Program

Watch and join as Habitat OC teams up with neighborhood organizations to make communities even better for families.

Answering the call for neighborhood improvements, Habitat OC has launched its new Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. Faith groups, service organizations and cities team up with Habitat OC working side-by-side to benefit communities impacted by economic stress.

Teen Gardeners

Fullerton is the first city to see how the new program works.

EvFree Church of Fullerton, Habitat OC, community volunteers, and the Boys and Girls Club, installed a garden at the Club’s Teen Center in May, 2012.

Young people can learn sustainable gardening and culinary skills by growing and cooking their own food.

When the garden begins to produce, St. Jude Medical Center will provide a Healthy Lifestyles program for the teen farmers. Read more about the teen garden.

This is just the beginning! Fullerton and Habitat OC are scheduling more community improvements.

Do you have an idea for a revitalization project?

Possible projects can include home repairs for:

    • Homeowners who are unable to afford needed work
    • Community clean ups
    • Street improvements
    • Parks or park improvements
    • Shelter improvements
    • You tell us.

Time for something new and/or improved

Habitat OC has built simple, decent homes for years providing families a strong foundation for success.

Let’s expand our work together to build great places where neighbors can thrive.

Let's get started
