The Morales family

Who we serve

Katia and Joseph Morales have two children - Kamille and Josie - and currently reside in San Clemente after being forced to move from their mobile home park when it closed. Joseph is a Staff Sergeant in the United Stated Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton. In the last five years, he has been deployed to Iraq three times; each time the Morales family saves money and dreams of buying a house when Joseph returns. Unfortunately, because of escalating housing prices in Orange County, each time their dreams have been deferred.

The Morales family seeks a home for the two girls to grow up in. Joseph explains, "when we heard about Habitat for Humanity of OC, we thought what a great opportunity. We are responsible, caring, hardworking individuals, who also happen to love people and serve their country. This is what we have been waiting for." Joseph and Katia plan to complete their 500 hours of sweat equity as soon as possible before Joseph is deployed for the fourth time later this year in 2008.
