The Alegre family

Norma and Ruben have two children - Pedro and Joseph - and currently rent a house in Santa Ana where it is not uncommon to hear gun shots. They are a Christian family who rents because the high cost of owning a home makes it impossible for them to become homeowners. Their search for decent, affordable housing led them to Habitat for Humanity of Orange County.

The Alegre family seeks an environment where they can raise their children to grow up and become professionals and serve the community. "We are excited to have our own home and to be able to pay for it with no problem."
