Calling all women!
The Habitat of Humanity of Orange County Women Build is a program made to include women on our construction sites and empower them to take action against poverty housing. Women Build encourages women to make a difference by building homes and communities and to further the mission of Habitat.
We need women construction volunteers Tuesday-Saturday (we don’t build on Sunday or Monday). The workday schedule is 7:30 - 3:30, with a lunch break at 11:30. No prior construction experience is required! Our knowledgeable construction superintendent, crew leaders, and AmeriCorps will provide guidance and training on site.
You can sign up now to help build by registering using our automated system VolunteerUP or you can contact our Habitat Volunteer Coordinator.
Also, we encourage anyone interested in the Women Build to attend the general orientation for Habitat for Humanity Orange County. Volunteers interested in working at Habitat construction sites should review the following Job Site Information and Build FAQ page.
For more information on Women Build, please contact our Women Build Coordinator.
Some photos of last year's Women Build in Huntington Beach:

Women building together offers tremendous empowerment. Not only are women discovering that they can successfully do something they had previously thought was not possible, but they are applying the confidence gained through this experience to other aspects of their lives. |
