San Juan Elevation

Veterans and surviving families are invited to apply for homeownership. Learn more...

The community of San Juan Capistrano has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County to build twenty-seven homes in their city. Fourteen of these affordable ownership homes are being marketed to disabled veterans and their families or surviving families of soldiers killed in action.

The children in this neighborhood will have stable homes, a park where they can safely play, private space to concentrate on homework, and like-minded friends to support them as they grow and flourish.

Habitat for Heroes and Foundations for Families™, will be a unique neighborhood on Calle Rolando in San Juan Capistrano that we hope will soon be emulated across the United States. This small community within a community, will bring together local families and veterans' families who all struggle to meet rising housing costs in Orange County.

It takes an entire community to build a home

You can be part of making the American dream of homeownership come true for disabled veterans and local working families.

  • Recommend qualified families for a Habitat for Humanity of Orange County home.
    • Habitat for Humanity of Orange County provides a hand up – not a handout. Do you know a great family who just needs a bit of a boost to provide a safe, decent home for their children? Contact our Director of Family Services.
  • Invest in a sure thing with long-term prospects
    • Fifteen of the 27 homes have been funded! Would you partner with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County to help raise funds for the remaining 12 homes?

We're half-way there!

Funding and pledges have been received to cover the cost of constructing 15 of the homes. Our greatest hope is to be able to complete all 27 homes at one time so these families can start thriving in a fantastic new neighborhood. Efforts are now underway to raise the $3.5 million needed to complete the Habitat for Heroes and Foundations for Families™ development. Donate Now!

Please join us in serving those who have served us so faithfully. Help make the American Dream of home ownership come true for local working families and for disabled veterans' families.
