Episcopal Diocese of L.A. & Habitat OC honor beloved friend

Joining hands and hearts, Episcopalians built a Habitat OC home in honor of an amazing man.

The Reverend Canon Gordon Yeaton, Jr. - just plain Gordon to everyone - exemplified the spirit of "community," the 2009 Episcopalian Convention theme.

Servant Leadership

Gordon filled his life with service, declaring his beliefs through his actions. He was a teacher, artist, advocate, volunteer, role model and friend. He joyfully served on the Habitat OC Board of Directors.

Call to action

The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles called upon all members to help finance and build Gordon's House. The diocese pledged to raise $250,000. Gordon's House is now home to a qualified Orange County family.

Update!

It's a wrap! Gordon's House is complete and was dedicated on January 16, 2010. Thanks for making it possible for one more Orange County family to live in a simple, decent home.
